Jan Chovanec - professorial proceedings
Last week, Jan Chovanec had his final appearance before the scientific board of Masaryk university regarding his professorship. The board was impressed to hear about his scholarly work, conception of linguistics and other - including pedagogic - achievements and voted in favour of his promotion. His formal appointment to the rank of full professor by the president is expected in the coming months.
