New Pathways in Anglophone Literary and Cultural Studies in Pandemic Times

Dear colleagues, dear students,

It is our honor to invite you to a student conference of literary and cultural studies in English, titled New Pathways in Anglophone Literary and Cultural Studies in Pandemic Times. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for emerging scholars, advanced M.A. students, and Ph.D. candidates, to exchange ideas and present their current research.

We are looking forward to discovering what exciting and provocative new pathways you are following in your research.

Keynote speakers:

  • Dr Don Sparling, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic         
  • Dr Sagar Deva, University of Leeds, UK
  • Dr Mathias Clasen, Aarhus University, Denmark           

The conference will be held on November 19-21 (Thursday-Saturday) at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University Brno. The registration fee is 500 CZK (approx. 20 EUR) and will cover light catering and a part of the accommodation.

Please send your abstracts (250 words) including affiliation to the organizing committee, newpathways2020@phil.muni.cz, by September 10, 2020. There will be 20-minute presentations followed by a 5-minute discussion. Abstracts will be printed in the conference program.
