BY PLANE

Visitors of Brno can use the International Airport Brno-Tuřany, which provides regular flights to Prague, London (Stansted), and Munich and additional destinations in the summer season. The Brno Airport is connected with the city centre by regular bus transport (ca. 20 minutes). A taxi from the Airport will cost around 300 CZK.

Other conveniently accessible airports include:
Vienna International Airport: To travel from Vienna Airport to Brno, the most convenient means are coach or train. Bus operators include RegioJet (offers ten connections daily from Vienna to Brno) and FlixBus. Duration of the travel is approximately 2.5 hours. The train from the airport to Brno goes via Vienna main station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) and takes about 2 hours. The tickets can be purchased at https://www.cd.cz/en/ and https://tickets.oebb.at/en/ticket. (For the Vienna Airport, fill in Flughafen Wien.)

Václav Havel Airport Prague: The easiest transportation from Prague is with the train operator Czech Railways offering very comfortable trains from the Prague main station or with bus operator RegioJet offering 36 connections daily from the airport or bus station Florenc to Brno. Duration of the travel is approximately 2.5 hours.

Bratislava Airport: Bratislava airport offers connections to about 41 regular destinations. The city centre can be reached by bus, and from there train or coach services (RegioJet, FlixBus, Eurolines) to Brno follow. Duration of the travel is about 2 hours.

BY TRAIN AND COACH

Brno is an important rail junction situated on the Balkan – Budapest – Prague – Berlin – Scandinavia rail route. All Eurocity trains stop in Brno. The distance from Prague to Brno is  56 Kilometres, from Vienna 155 kilometres, from Bratislava 132 kilometres, from Berlin 566 kilometres and from Wroclaw 312 kilometres. The Central railway station is located in the centre of Brno, a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre. There are also numerous coach lines from many European cities. Here you can search for train, coach and public transport connections also in English and German.

BY CAR

Brno is located on the main Czech highway D1 and D2. For highways a toll is charged. The toll sticker can be purchased at border crossings, petrol stations, post offices and in motor clubs.
