- Hluchá zmije “The Deaf Adder” – Zmije is where you might find yourself debating the merits of postmodernism over a pint – but with their excellent selection of microbrewery beers, you'll be too busy enjoying the present to worry about deconstructing the past!
- Pegas – At Pegas, you can watch beer being brewed live in the cellar of this Brno hotel – it's like witnessing the creation of a classic text, right before your eyes! Pegas has another smaller branch on Jiráskova Street, very close to the faculty.
- Lucky Bastard – Lucky Bastard was started by two beer enthusiasts and now offers four standard beers (Blond 11, Oktagon 13, India 15 and Siciliano 17) and special collaborations. They're so popular in Brno, you might have even tasted them at our academic conference – a true testament to their craft!
- The Erin's Flag Irish Pub – This stylish Irish pub in central Brno has six beers on tap and Irish cider – perfect for practicing your 'Sláinte!' and perhaps reciting a bit of Yeats.
- Pivo & Syn “Beer & Son“ – Great atmosphere, no nonsense behind the bar, just perfectly poured beers. It's so close to the faculty, you might as well call it your second home – a haven for scholarly discussions.
- Immigrant – Styled like an Irish restaurant, Immigrant offers a cozy atmosphere with several draft beers, each better than the last, and unbelievably good burgers. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of academic pursuits.
- The East Village – The East Village is a unique bar and diner offering American-style food and drinks to Brno's Czech and international community – it's like a little slice of New York in Brno!
- Úvozna – Úvozna serves beers from smaller breweries and is rumored to have some of the best burgers in town – it's like discovering a hidden manuscript that turns out to be a literary masterpiece!
- Čtyři růže “Four Roses” – Four Roses is an underground haven with a wide variety of beers – perfect for those who love a bit of mystery with their pint.
- Pivnice u Čápa “The Stork's Pub“ – Located near the maternity hospital on Obilní trh, U Čápa has been the go-to spot for new dads to celebrate for over 100 years. Try their top-quality Pilsner!
