Dear colleagues, dear students,

it is my honor to invite you to a student conference of North American literary and cultural studies in English, titled New Pathways in North American Studies: Paradigms, Strategies, Developments. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for emerging scholars, advanced M.A. students, and Ph.D. candidates, to exchange ideas and present their current research.

We are looking forward to discovering what exciting and provocative new pathways you are following in your research.

Keynote speakers:
Paweł Frelik, University of Warsaw
Ulla Haselstein, Freie Universitaet Berlin
Volker Depkat, Regensburg University.

The conference will be held on October 12-13 (Friday-Saturday) at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University Brno. The registration fee is 500CZK (approx. 20€) and will cover light catering and a part of the accommodation.

Please send your abstracts (250 words) including affiliation to Jan Čapek, 399354@mail.muni.cz, by July 30, 2018. There will be 20-minute presentations followed by a 10-minute discussion. Selected papers will be published in conference proceedings. Abstracts will be printed in the conference program.
